这首歌于2002年12月9日发表，当时正是Declan11岁生日的前10天，这也是Declan的第一首歌。
也正是在这一天，英国和爱尔兰的所有党派和Declan同时唱响了这首歌，并获得世界吉尼斯记录，历史上最大的唱诗班。这个活动是由“young voices in concert”举办的，所有筹款捐赠给了Sargent Cancer Care的孩子们。
当我第一次听到这首歌的时候，刚失恋心情极度低落。在网上无意中搜到这首歌的视频，随着歌曲一开场带来的震撼，就是视频中接二连三的关于战争后的场面，饥荒流浪无家可归尸横遍野，一幕幕悲惨的镜头从我眼前闪过。同样生活在这个地球，人与人的命运差距那么大。曾以为失恋是多么伤心的事情，比起战乱中的人，还顶不了一块面包。人要惜福，最近看见网上好多愤青在吼着要抗日，要报仇，孰不知战争的最终受害者就是人民，无辜的人民。天灾也好，人祸也罢，与其破坏之后再来修复，不如现在就开始呵护，呵护身边的亲人，朋友，呵护我们的家园，呵护全人类的母亲---地球。别问天堂在哪里，天堂就在每个人的心里。
